Platform Lift at The Central Theatre
Unfortunately, we have experienced a breakdown of our platform lift which is used to transport wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties from the Box Office on the lower foyer to the first level and the stalls area of the auditorium.
We have an alternative entrance, which is suitable for wheelchair users, at the side of the theatre. This is signposted from, and parallel to, the Fullagers Yard blue badge carpark. This entrance is manned from half an hour before performance start. It leads directly into the auditorium and therefore can not be accessed once a performance has started.
If you are a wheelchair user, have mobility issues, or have members of your group who are affected by this, we would kindly ask that you use this entrance as the platform list is completely non-functional and requires a replacement, which is scheduled to be installed in January.
